Matthew 6:33 “What you should want most is God’s Kingdom and doing what He wants you to do. Then he will give you all these other things you need.” (ERV)

Matthew 6:33 “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” (NIV)

What the Bible verse mean?  What is this Kingdom of God?  

When we belong to the Kingdom of God, we are God’s children.  We are God’s family. We obey God. We trust Jesus. We do what He wants us to do. He gives us what we need. We can trust Jesus for everything.  Jesus will help us learn what He wants us to do. 

We put God’s work first in life and do what He wants. That is we follow His Plan and not our plan. When we belong to Jesus, we are His children. We become citizens of heaven while living on earth.   

We can enjoy God’s blessings while living on earth. God promised blessings. 

What blessings can we can enjoy?  Many blessings!  We have Family, our Church family,  fellowship, and friends. We have our home, and we take care of it. We have our jobs, and retirement. We have rest and play, and we have fun activities. We have our health, and we take care of ourselves and our family.  We have Spiritual gifts that we share with others, and we can help others. We grow in spirit and faith, we make friends, our bodies grow, and we use our brains to learn new things. These are just some of the blessings God may give us. We learn to be thankful, and learn how to do all these things. Keep all things in life in balance. 

My cancer is in remission. That means I still have cancer, but it is not active. I spend a lot of time in many doctor offices, and I learn how to be patient. I take powerful medicine with many side effects. It is always a struggle, but I pray constantly and hope for the best. 

If we only look at only one thing, then that can be overwhelming. God wants us to balance our lives so that we enjoy all things, and enjoy His presence. He gives us each new day to enjoy, and so we can be thankful. Amen
