After my future wife witnessed to me, God opened my heart. I saw His Creation for the first time as He saw it. A short time later I became a new believer. Jesus became the Lord of my life.
I grew in understanding by reading His Word. The Bible says God works in me to give me a desire to serve Him and work for Him. Why? For God’s pleasure. He made me the way I am, deaf or profoundly hard of hearing. Why? To do good works which He already planned for me to do for His pleasure.
I was living aimlessly, without much of a goal except to do my best. Now as a believer I had a life’s purpose, and the desire to serve God for His pleasure. A new goal, to help Deaf believers grew in my heart. It was still a few years off in my future, but God had His plan in place and right on His schedule.
